Motto: "For a jester's chief employment is to kill himself for your enjoyment! And a jester unemployed is nobody's fool!"

Agatha Bird lives in sunny Florida, where she subsists on sunflower seeds, dried apricots, lots of tea, and books. Libraries are her natural habitat. She has recently begun tweeting and tumbling (quite involuntarily) and thinks it is sad that the internet has given her more ways to be annoying.

She lived overseas for awhile and would not be averse to a sham marriage in order to get back (please send a photo and a bank statement for consideration). She once got stranded alone in a tiny Welsh village for hours, and despite the sheep, it was awesome. She likes monsters and wants to write books about them someday, and she sincerely hopes she doesn't scare away future agents with the whole 'gay monster porn' thing (she likes to think of it as a niche market).

Right now she alternates between writing ridiculous stories, toiling away in grad school, gesturing drunkenly at her friends whilst making emphatic points about squirrels, and finding inappropriate things hilarious.

She pretends to be funny.

Friending Policy: Friend away, if you'd like, but please know that I don't automatically friend back because I try to keep my flist manageable, and I'm terrible enough at reading it already. All the fic is public anyway until that lucrative book deal comes along. Otherwise, I'm really not that interesting. Unless you count the international espionage.

I love writing this stuff for free, but please consider donating to feed your local author:
